NetSuite and Power BI Integration: Executive KPI Center
Board-level dashboards delivered inside NetSuite, so the CEO and COO see live KPIs without a second login, a second URL or extra BI licenses.

The challenge
Executives worked in NetSuite while analytics lived in a separate BI tool. That meant a second sign-in, numbers that drifted from the ledger and no way to honor NetSuite role and subsidiary permissions in the reports.
What we built
- A SuiteScript 2.1 Suitelet and Custom Content Portlet that renders the KPI Center inside the current NetSuite session
- SuiteQL queries run as the signed-in user, so role, subsidiary and row-level permissions apply automatically
- A nightly Map/Reduce snapshot and a 15-minute cache that keep each render well inside governance limits
- CEO and COO views across financial, order-to-cash, operations and people KPIs, with drill-through to source records
- A Power BI embedding route for analyses that blend NetSuite with CRM, payroll or web data
Insights delivered
